Stop talking, start revenging

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

Every second three animals die in American laboratories
Tortured by crazed vivisectors who burn crush and mutilate
Starve poison and assault animals to fulfill their sick pleasure.
Inflicting pain and suffering to gain more money and power.
Sucking the blood out of others
Just like the madmen at the top who fuck our lives just for profit.
Cant you see there’s no difference between government exploiting people, people exploiting animals,
It’s all the fucking same, just another facet of oppression in this society.
Murder is murder it’s still the same.
From behind their walls come silent screams victims of man’s cruelty.
“For the good of man” they proclaim,
Their conscience eased but not the pain.
Justification from dark cold eyes (what they sell is full of lies)
“A sacrifice for societies gain” whatever reason they’re still to blame.
‘Cause animal experiments do not save human lives,
And even if they did it wouldn’t make an ounce of difference
‘Cause we’ve no right to decide who’s to live and who’s to die.
Every second we just sit and talk three more are killed and the clock ticks on.
Those still alive just wait to die, their blood flows red like yours and mine.
The time for action is here today
But what path do we fucking take when the animals that we liberate just always seem to get replaced?
We must put them out of commission break their cycle of oppression
Burn down their laboratories of death and if they too get burnt well they’ve had their warnings.
Yet they still continue the bastards have it coming.
They’ve made a choice (not theirs to make)
To kill and maim, its life they take.
Innocent? Fuck NO they’re not!
It’s blood they spill.
They must be stopped
No time for love and understanding
They don’t deserve our “compassion”
What those murdering scum deserve is a dose of their own medicine.
So let’s smash them now, once and for all,
Break through their skulls, break through their walls.
Put an end to their sick reign they’ve carried on for far too long,
We know that they’re in the wrong

So stop the talking — start revenging and give the filth what they’ve got coming!

Wikileaks reveals secret critical US infrastructure sites which include pharmaceutical companies

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

Posted by BBC News

Of all the leaks to have emerged from this set of releases from Wikileaks, this global list of infrastructure sites which the US considers critical for its national security interest must surely count as one of the most sensitive. In its preamble, the cable from the US State Department in 2009 specifically notes it was compiled to try to protect US interests from terrorists.

In their own defence, those working with Wikileaks have pointed out that they deliberately removed details of names and locations from the secret list.

But that has not impressed those who deal with national security issues.

In London the British government condemned the leak unreservedly. The British national security adviser, Sir Peter Ricketts, has asked all government departments to review their computer security.

And Sir Paul Lever, former chair of the Joint Intelligence Committee, called the leak grossly irresponsible.

Global supply chain

But now the information is out in the public domain, it is worth considering in general terms what it tells us about what is nowadays seen as sensitive: what sort of facilities are included and – just as interesting – which ones are omitted.

First off, one must note that this is not a list of military facilities. You will not, for instance, find any mention of Diego Garcia, the US military base built on land leased from the UK in the middle of the Indian Ocean which has proved so critical for the recent conflict in Afghanistan.

Instead it is a list of key facilities which, if attacked, could disrupt the global supply chain and global communications, as well as goods and services critical to the wellbeing of the US and its economy.

What hits you first and foremost is how important on this list is the unseen network of cables that lie on the ocean bed, linking up the American continent across the Pacific Ocean to New Zealand, Australia, China and other US allies in Asia.

Similarly, on Europe’s coastline it is the cables that reach from the United Kingdom and Ireland northwards and stretch across the US and Canada that apparently give the US government cause to worry.

And these are not the only maritime considerations. We may operate in a new world of virtual communications, but (along with space communications no doubt) what is carried by or under water is still, it seems, essential.

Future Riot Shields Will Suffocate Protestors with Low Frequency Speakers

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

Posted by New Scientist

RIOT shields that project a wall of sound to disperse crowds will reduce violent clashes with police, according to a patent filed by defence firm Raytheon of Waltham, Massachusetts.

The device looks similar to existing riot shields, but it incorporates an acoustic horn that generates a pressure pulse. Police in the US already use acoustic devices for crowd control purposes that emit a loud, unpleasant noise.

The new shield described by Raytheon produces a low-frequency sound which resonates with the respiratory tract, making it hard to breathe. According to the patent, the intensity could be increased from causing discomfort to the point where targets become “temporarily incapacitated”.

Acoustic devices haven’t seen wide adoption because their range is limited to a few tens of metres. The patent gets around this by introducing a “cohort mode” in which many shields are wirelessly networked so their output covers a wide area, like Roman legionaries locking their shields together. One shield acts as a master which controls the others, so that the acoustic beams combine effectively.

Raytheon declined to comment on the work.

“We do not have sufficient technical detail yet to determine if there are any hidden medical implications,” says Steve Wright of Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK. “These are always a concern because of the risk to sensitive bodily functions such as hearing, or even inducing panic attacks in asthmatics.”

The biggest danger, he warns, is that the technology would be used for political control. “If authorities in Egypt or Syria had this, would they use it for dispersal or to shove crowds into potentially lethal harm’s way?”

In our last update, we included a picture of a NJ bear hunter and his daughter who killed a mother bear and her cub.

We also relayed how this hunter wrote on a public website that he killed the bear in “honor” of the female lawyer for the Bear Education and Resource Group (BEAR) that filed a lawsuit to stop the hunt. He also made disparaging remarks about other women in the BEAR Group. You can see it all HERE and HERE.
AzSZOur updates are posted on our Facebook page. Early Friday morning, a user named “Mark Thomas” claimed to be the hunter in question and posted the following comment on the update thread:

I look Great in That Pic!! And by the way, I had that bear for dinner last night-she tasted fabulous with a little terryaki marinade and seared on the grill. YUMMMMMMYYYYY!”

When confronted about the fact that he was posting anonymously, he wrote to back to a woman saying:

“Sorry doll, but with your belligerent tone, and the hate filed bile your animal huggy freinds tend to spew-I’ll keep it shielded from the likes of you. Ta Ta”

We took that as a challenge to find out who he was. Fifteen minutes later we found him.

His name is Mark T. Hall and he works for the law firm of Morgan, Melhuish and Abrutyn. You can view his page HERE. Hey Mark – time to update that picture! It must be 20 years old!

If Hall had not posted his rude comment on our Facebook page, we might have never known who he was. We wrote the following email calling for him to apologize and sent it to the partners of Morgan, Melhuish and Abrutyn.

Dear Messrs. Morgan, Melhuish and Abrutyn,

I am writing to you in regards to one of your associate lawyers, Mark T. Hall.

Doris Lin, Esquire, is the lawyer representing the Bear Education and Resource Group, and she recently filed a lawsuit to stop the New Jersey bear hunt. Mr. Hall, who is a hunter, frequents a website called www.newjerseyhunter.com.  On December 1, a few days before the week long New Jersey Bear hunt was to start, he posted the following comment concerning Ms. Lin in a thread he started titled “HAY DORIS THIS ONE”S FOR YOU”.

http://www.newjerseyhunter.com/article116356.htm

“I Promise to Shoot one of the following bears in Your Honor Doris Lin Be sure to check back for pics of the bruin in the back of my truck! Thanks for the Hunt Babe-and by the way you need a new wingman-the girls your hangining, man they just don’t …… well you know”

Mr. Hall’s words, according to NewJerseyhunter.com, were posted:  01 Dec 2011 12:17 PM.  December 1 was a Thursday.  If Mr. Hall was at work that day, then this suggests he may have made the post from your premises.  You might want to investigate this.

In that same NewJerseyhunter.com thread, Mr Hall made another comment directed toward Ms. Lin. Mr. Hall posted the following picture of himself and his daughter with a mother bear and cub that they had killed and wrote, “As promised Doris! We doubled up just for you”.

My organization, SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) is a vocal opponent of the bear hunt in New Jersey and we take issue with the comments Mr. Hall has made toward Ms. Lin.  We are seeking a full written apology by Mr. Hall to Ms. Lin and to the BEAR Group for the comments he publicly made.

Sincerely

Steve Hindi

President, SHARK
