Paul Aliu of Novartis personally funds drug experiments on animals at UF

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

The names of the donors that specifically fund drug research on imprisoned animals at UF was leaked to us recently. Last night, the first person we chose to expose was published on NIO. This afternoon, the private and secure areas of UF’s College of Pharmacology databases have been corrupted and all compromising information deleted. Fortunately, their benefactors’ details are still accessible on our databases. Meet Paul Aliu…

Paul Aliu is seated at the far left

Paul Aliu’s personal email is: [email protected]

This email address is registered to:

This is rather odd because…

Dr. Paul Aliu is the Global Program Director at Novartis Pharma in Basel Area, Switzerland. He is a regular at World Health Organization conferences.

Paul not only advances Novartis’ mercenary agenda professionally, he also personally funds the holocaust at the University of Florida.

Does anyone find it interesting that the first of UF’s benefactors we exposed last night is employed by Pfizer while Aliu is with Novartis? Don’t be! It appears that every one of the animal torture donors is so deeply entrenched in the vivisection complex that Big Pharma is represented across the board. We even have the names of individuals at the FDA that contribute to UF.

We cannot and will not go under!

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

by The Support Crew (Support Camille)

Over the last ten years, a small but growing movement of committed animal activists have changed the rules by which we confront those who exploit and abuse our innocent non-human cousins. We publicize personal information about the individuals who engage in these horrific acts and let their friends, neighbours, colleagues and family know about their monstrous activities. We are legal, above ground and insist on forcefully exercising our First Amendment rights, whenever and wherever we choose. And we get results!

Big Pharma and the businesses, institutions and fraudulent “researchers” that make up the vivisection complex don’t like having their personal lives invaded and, for the first time in the struggle for animal rights, being put on the defensive. They are used to spending their billions in blood money to buy politicians, USDA and FDA agency heads, lobbyists and PR hacks. They manipulate the media and perpetuate the lies on which the animal holocaust is built. But they are vulnerable to demonstrations in front of their homes and country clubs and the revulsion people feel when the truth about them is revealed.

These entrenched and well-financed animal abusers are responding by attempting to take away our First Amendment rights. In 2006, they pushed through the terribly-flawed Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act (AETA), which was used to convict the SHAC 6 and is now being vigorously challenged in court on constitutional grounds. Their latest target, and the focus of the current struggle to preserve our ability to effectively represent the animals, is a dedicated and passionate activist named Camille Marino.

For the past three and a half years, Camille has dedicated herself to fearlessly expose and confront the horrors of modern animal exploitation in general and tear down the walls of secrecy that have enabled the unbearable agony suffered by the innocent victims of animal “research.” Her website, NIO is a treasure trove of articles and information about the oppressive nature of modern society and how all sentient beings, humans included, are at risk of extinction by the amoral greed and selfishness of corporate capitalism. Camille has put all her energy and every resource available to challenge these oppressors collectively and individually.

And now they have struck back. Camille was unfairly arrested and treated brutally for a month, before being granted bond. She is now involved in a legal case which will go a long way in determining whether the animal rights movement can effectively move forward. Our very right to speak the truth about animal abusers, in a way that can effect real change, is at stake. If she cannot fund an aggressive defense, the cost to Camille will be her liberty, but the cost to this movement will be far greater. Freedom of speech will be trodden underfoot and our credibility as a fighting force will be derided and called into question.

The cost to the Animals will be devastating and unimaginable! AND UNFORGIVABLE! Our failure is their Loss of Hope!

Those arrayed against us, who want to perpetuate the status quo, have unlimited funds, which they have used against Camille in an underhanded and legally-questionable manner. Camille needs funds to fight this ongoing legal battle, which is very real and could have disastrous consequences for our movement. Everybody who cares about animals and our ability to effectively represent them needs to dig deep and contribute right now. Legal bills are mounting and this could be a long fight. With proper funding, we will have a sound basis to move forward. We cannot and will not go under!

Apart from individual donations, we also have an opportunity to imaginatively and simultaneously raise funding and awareness. All ideas are welcomed ~ some ideas will be suggested here shortly. In the meantime, donations may be made via paypal to [email protected]

SOLIDARITY!

Promising beginnings for the Boycott UF Campaign

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

by NIO Florida

I. Summary of today’s activities

In our continuing efforts to squash applications to UF in the fall, the implementation of this campaign got off to a modest but strong start today. Activists in a number of states met with high school students who were on spring break this week. One of our members is working with a high school art teacher as well. The students were given a supply of flyers to distribute within their schools starting next week. We were given the personal email addresses for members of student body groups such as student governments and year book committees.

II. Success depends on the continued recruitment of high school students

Every activist with teenagers has the access that we need. We urge you to enlist your children’s help. We further urge you to secure contact information for the student body in the form of school directories, online forums, or through any means your local school may offer. Members involved in today’s action will be sending the following letter to their student list. We encourage everyone to use this recruitment tool freely:

Dear Prospective College Student:

As you look toward applying to universities this fall and taking the first step toward an exciting future, you need to be aware that there is currently a global boycott of applications to the University of Florida. Please consider how this issue may impact your future and commit to a personal boycott of UF.

For 14 months, the University of Florida fought to keep public records out of the hands of the community. In October of 2010, a duly-registered Freedom of Information Act request was delivered to them and they declined to satisfy their legal obligation. They remained in noncompliance with Florida state law until activists won a lawsuit against them on December 30, 2011 and the Honorable Judge Martha Ann Lott ordered them to hand over the records.

The public soon learned why UF fought disclosure so vehemently. The records revealed that they are engaged in conducting barbaric experiments on monkeys for political purposes, to secure funding from benefactors, to satisfy contracts, and a host of other economic reasons. The simple fact, however, is that monkeys are imprisoned for up to two decades, terrorized daily, and the experiments serve no scientific purpose whatsoever. The records may all be examined here as they are made available for scrutiny.

Alumni have begun to issue public denouncements of their alma mater. Activists went back to court on February 27, 2012 to petition the Court to compel disclosure of further information that UF is withholding. An institution of higher learning with an aversion to transparency promises to be mired in lawsuits and controversy for the duration of your college career.

Please consider joining the global boycott of applications, and, thus, admissions, to UF until they permanently shut down their primate experimentation program.

Additionally, please consider promoting this initiative within your own school.

I look forward to talking with you further and wish you success in all of your future endeavors.

Sincerely

III. Success will depend on how much we want it

To the best of our knowledge, no university has ever had to contend with activists attacking and eroding their tuition revenue. Until UF liberates the monkeys, we can and will mar their once-pristine reputation, but that’s not enough. We must learn to efficiently reach into their wallet. This will take focus, determination, and consistency. But this is not something we can do alone.

Leafleting strangers will never change minds and behaviors. We need to penetrate schools and cultivate networks such  as activists were able to do today. We need students to pick up the mantle for us and run with it. This means that we need to identify those who can be groomed into activists. The only way to promote our agenda in from the inside of high schools. Fortunately, many in our circle have children through whom we are implementing this campaign. But we need to recruit more students and we need to get our young NIO activists as much support as possible.

Our petition has nearly 20,000 people around the globe that have committed to the Boycott.

And today we got off to an extremely promising start in our communities.

Thank you to everyone who’s been working around the clock to get the foundations of this initiative in place.

Animal liberation will be achieved when the detriments of animal abuse outweigh the benefits!

Feds allege Ohio liberationist offered $850 for random fur-wearer to be killed

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

Posted bv MSNBC

An Ohio woman who compared animal-welfare work to the liberation of World War II concentration camps has been charged with soliciting a hit man to fatally shoot or slit the throat of a random fur-wearer, federal authorities said.

Meredith Lowell, 27, of Cleveland Heights, appeared Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Cleveland, where a magistrate judge ordered her held by the U.S. Marshals Service pending a hearing next week, court records show. One of her defense attorneys, Walter Lucas, declined comment when reached by phone after the court appearance.

Investigators say the FBI was notified in November of a Facebook page Lowell created under the alias Anne Lowery offering $830 to $850 for the hit and saying the ideal candidate would live in northeast Ohio, according to an FBI affidavit filed with the court on Friday.

“I would like to create an online community on facebook whi8ch [sic] would allow me to find someone who is willing to kill someone wearing fur toward the end of October 2011 or early November 2011 or possibly in January 2012 or February 2012 at the latest,” she wrote according to Cleveland.com.

‘Bring a gun’
The affidavit says an FBI employee posing as a possible hit man later began email correspondence with Lowell, and she offered him $730 in jewelry or cash for the killing of a victim of at least 12 years but “preferably 14 years old or older” outside a library near a playground in her hometown.

“You need to bring a gun that has a silencer on it and that can be easily concealed in your pants pocket or coat. … If you do not want to risk the possibility of getting caught with a gun before the job, bring a sharp knife that is (at least) 4 inches long, it should be sharp enough to stab someone and/or slit their throat to kill them. I want the person to be dead in less than 2 minutes,” says an email reprinted in the affidavit.

She told the undercover employee she wanted to be on site when the slaying took place so she could distribute “papers” afterward, the affidavit says. She hoped to be arrested so she could call attention to her beliefs and to get out of the home she shared with her parents and brothers who eat meat and eggs and use fur, leather and wool, investigators said.

Reprinted emails also say Lowell wrote that she sees nothing wrong with “liberating” animals from fur factory farms and laboratories since “soldiers liberated people from Nazi camps in World War 2.”

She also criticized a new aquarium in Cleveland — saying “it is wrong for animals to be taken against their will and put into their (equivalent) of a bathtub” — and research by the Cleveland Clinic, where she said animals should be “liberated and put somewhere where they are not tortured.”

Jennifer Kaden, who co-founded the Cleveland Animal Rights Alliance with Amy Wagar Cinch, told Fox 8 Cleveland that she did not know Lowell.

“I’m appalled and horrified that somebody would think that committing violence is going to further a cause that is all about non-violence,” Kaden told the TV channel.

“Humans are animals too, and we want everyone to live in a peaceful environment, not just non-human animals,” Wagar Cinch added.

Lowell faces a hearing next Tuesday to determine whether she will be given the opportunity to post bail or be detained without bond pending resolution of the case.

LEAKED: Names of the University of Florida’s private vivisection benefactors

Tuesday, March 20th, 2012

The list of the University of Florida’s private benefactors has been leaked to NIO Florida. These donors live in the U.S. and abroad and many have direct ties to big pharma. These are the people that directly support animal torture at UF. To facilitate a more personal outreach experience, the worst offenders along with their contact information will be published individually. Tonight we meet Anup Zutshi.

Anup Zutshi Ph.D.
Pfizer Inc
700 Chesterfield Parkway (W)
Chesterfield, MO 63017
[email protected]

Dr. Zutshi explains how he tortures dogs:

It appears that the emesis that you are seeing is following oral dosing to dogs?? Tween does not cause emesis in dogs when used at levels of 1-2% of the total formulation if administered orally. The question to ask is when is the emesis occurring?? If it is at time periods less than Tmax, local GI irritation by the compound seems to be the problem. If it is much later than Tmax, a systemic effect (probably CNS related) is the more likely cause.

Last year, along with his wife Reeta, 53-year old Anup sold his mansion in Wildwood, Missouri for $410,000.

Since it is unlikely that we will ever persuade Anup to be a decent human being, perhaps we can simply suggest that his life might be more peaceful if he ceases to fund the University of Florida holocaust.
