Friends, should we use violence it will only create more violence. People hate people like you because you’re violent and scary and wear masks. Take a lesson from Gandhi. While this may solve things in the short term, it will only worsen things. Let everybody know of the real atrocities that go on and find more solutions to them. Do not hurt and sometimes kill to get your job done.

Thanks you for your thoughts, Conor —

But I fail to see where anything on this page implies the use of violence.

Perhaps you are simply inferring that if abusers are exposed, that violence may befall them?

Animals feel the same thing as humans.

It is the quote by Malcolm X which is scary. Because of the one sentence about bloodshed being the essence of revolution. But Bloodshed is not what you are about. Revolution may not be what you are doing anyway. I think Evolution is the work you are doing. Whole new paradigm.

And quotes by Malcolm are a problem because Malcolm had negotiations with both the KKK and Nazi Party as all three of them were promoting segregation now called apartheid.

Additionally, Malcolm continually sabotaged the work of other leaders who were working direct action for social change instead of the work Malcolm was doing promoting a sexist religion whose goon squads beat up their own members and called it “discipline” in service of an ayatollah with 9 “wives”. Just saying…

Yes, Malcolm is fascinating and yes he was beginning to change before his NOI comrades killed him but the irony is his change was in the direction of rejecting that quote.

So for all these reasons, the quote is really just not relevant to an effective movement for social change. Malcolm thrilled me while he was alive but I was young and impatient….I am still impatient but I know too much now to be thrilled by the Malcolms of the world.

See “Malcolm X” by Manning Marable which is far more sourced then the Alex Haley book and contains a factual recital of the Times as well as the man.

You make some excellent points and I’ll think about them.

    Thank you for your comments.

and i think you’re right about the semantics of “revolution” v. “evolution”

it’s been my experience that those in this movement who pound their chests about “revolution” are nothing but disingenuous posers sitting in an armchair making noise. i think i’ve demonstrated that this is not the category in which i belong and i need to think about modifying my rhetoric.

  9. Green Consciousness Says:

You should quote Capt Paul Watson – that is who you are like

  10. Negotiation Is Over Says:

that is flattering, indeed, but very undeserved. paul watson is a force of nature!
